In some cases, the host Mac will not enable HiDPI mode for the displays connected to a DisplayLink-based product. In brief, HiDPI mode is a feature of macOS that can make images within a display appear sharper. We recommend checking this option in the interest of efficiency. However, this option is useful in certain situations, such as when only DisplayLink-connected displays are connected to the host Mac. This is of course an optional feature, and is not required to use DisplayLink devices.
